A Masterpiece of Wasted Potential

(This is my future memoir title, so don’t steal it!)

Hi! I’m Mark, a copywriter and theatre-maker living in Chicago, and I can be summed up in a few facts:

  • I believe my childhood bedroom is haunted by a succubus, but my mom is trying to sell that house, so legally I have to say it’s just my imagination.

  • One time, the electricity went out the night before my family’s 6am flight to Ft. Lauderdale and we rushed through O’Hare like we were in Home Alone, but missed the flight. Instead of rebooking, all 7 of us packed into our car and drove down in 30 hours. Rather than driving back, we sold our car to Carmax (the way car buying should be), and bought a new car later that week. Let’s just say, I learned the art of the pivot early on in life.

  • The inventor of the corn dog allegedly attempted to murder my grandmother.

  • I watch a ton of movies, and I love keeping track of them on Letterboxd. Sometimes I write dumb little reviews about the movies I watch. You can read them and follow me HERE.

  • I wrote a few very silly plays in Chicago, including Scenes from an Italian Spaceship, The Case of the Suspicious Biscuit, and You’re a Good Man, Mary Shelley. You can read more about them HERE.
